Default change steering cable in js550

Hey does anybody know how to remove the steering cable from the js550? I got it disconnected and slid down through the handle pole but cant get it slid through the hull because there are two bolts that lock it in place next to where the shaft comes out of the hull on the rear of the ski that are impossible to reach or get at with tools. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

not sure but I seem to remember the outer cable has a nut where it butts up against the inside of the hull,, you loosen the nut and push out the cable to remove the clip on the outside of the hull, then pull the cable from inside the hull to remove it

so how will that let you get to the nut?? can you get a openend wrench the correct size and heat it, bend a right angle to the end and access the nut using that wrench /// seems like I had to do a similar wrench to get to a nut in the past.

well the angle is not the issue, the problem is that the pump is roundend and squeezes the nut between it and the side of the hull so no socket or open end wrench has thin enough walls to clear the gap. i even tried calling a dealer just to give it a shot and they wanted $400 for the job. haha ok, yeah right.
