Vibration and loss of thrust

Yamaha VX110 Deluxe
After running for 15 or so minutes; when I stop to idle around, the wave runner won't take off like it should. It feels like a clutch is slipping or something. I get to about 5MPH/5000 RPM and I get severe vibration. One time I felt a small clunk and the ski worked fine after that and I went back to ramp. Today, after running for about 20 minutes the problem came back when I stopped to talk to some people and I couldn't make the problem go away. I turned it off and felt for any obstruction, none found. It also seems to come up if I'm idling and making turns. When I blast off, I get the vibrations and no speed.

you have something in your pump check it real close from under the ski

When I got back home I took the bottom grille off and looked for obstructions, none found, everything looked good. I took it to the lake today and it ran super. I ran it hard for 30 minutes with many many starts/stops and no problems which makes it worse. I have no confidence in getting far from landing because I can't make the problem repeat. Is the main drive shaft keyed anywhere that might be slipping: impellar, coupling??? I'll keep taking it out and keep troubleshooting.

what was in the pump fell out when you put it on the trailer,, want to make it do that again just take off hard in shallow water , especially if there are weeds there,, lol
my advise is forgetaboutit.
